Isaiah 43 has always stopped me in my tracks. God says, “I have called you by name. You are Mine.” There’s something so personal about that. He isn’t far away. He isn’t guessing who we are. He calls us by name.

Then He says:

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.”

If God said this… why are we still so afraid? Why do we doubt His words? Why do we act like we’re alone in the fire or drowning in the water?

Maybe for some of us, this really is new news. Not because God just said it — but because we haven’t been in His Word enough to remember it.

He also says:

“You are precious in My eyes. You are honored. And I love you.”

For a lot of believers, that part feels almost unbelievable. Not because it isn’t true… but because we don’t hear it enough. We don’t sit with it. We don’t let it sink in.

When we don’t read God’s Word, His promises feel far away. But when we come back to Scripture, we realize He’s been saying the same thing all along:

“I am with you. You are Mine.”
